Training Tips and Information
I hope you find this page useful in your quest of becoming a better athlete. I believe you should be a student of your sport and that having a greater understanding of the “why” you perform certain things in your training the better you can become. I will do my best to explain the purpose of our workouts each day because as a coach I should know why we are performing those workouts and how they build upon each other.
Training is science and just like any science class its’s about learning from the classroom and applying it in the lab; our lab is the workouts and competition. I will post various types of training information that will help you connect the dots. It may not make sense now, but over time it will click and you will have the “Aha” moment. This is important because as you learn more you can make better judgments and communicate at a higher level with your coach.
The information presented comes from my philosophy of training which is influenced by many coaches, research and years of experience. I will include videos, articles and personal presentations that influence my training design in the development of athletes that I coach or consult.
